DAY3 - 4nov07
it was raining the whole day. but we still did fun stuff xD
of cos b4 we went off we had to get our gear. this is the gear hire room :Dhaha.
den we went bush bashing! :D we were like "HUH?just bash in ar?!" yea just bash in n come out from the other end =.= lol v fun. had to use compass even with a map cos there's no track n we wont noe whr we're heading without it.O.o oh den there was this place where we had to slide down some "cliff". haha O.o we were joking abt pushing each other down at first den end up we really had to do it =.= someone fell down hahahahha. the fastest way of getting down!! xD who ar! was it liying? :P
haha :DOH YA.georgie tricked us =.= we chewed on a pepper plant leaf!! mygosh. damn spicy.O.o georgie told us it was the cocacola plant. lol.xD and sandytan didnt noe too!! aiyo. haha :P bio tcher. tsk. xD
aft we got out of the bushes we walked to some hut. near there got flying fox equips!(: WHEE. flying fox is super fun :D esp when its raining cos u can feel all the rain drops hitting u when u "fly" down.xD and the scenery ROCKS when u're down there(: the stream. n mountains, rivers. omg. damn nice. cannot imagine :X too bad didnt bring my cam wif me down xD
haha aft flying fox we went to climb some damn cool tree.xD a lot of branches!! O.O not like the lousy ones in sg tt we cant climb =.= zzz. NZ ROCKS :D no insects in the way (: v clean de. anw we used harnesses and ropes to link to each other. for safety reasons. haha. oh but when we were climbing it was like SUPER COLD :X raining. and hands all numb. X.x but nvm. just climb xD aft we got down we had hot raro to drink :D raro is some orangey drink in nz :P v nice :D
aft climbing e tree we went back to OPC. i think our chalets rock :D haha. hm den everyday at 8pm we'll hv briefing and sharing sessions abt what we did in the day with other grps at the YDC (youth development centre). haha just some nice place where we eat and gather.xD got cushions!:P tt day we were asked to make a stretcher with rope and a sponge mat. O.O lol. ours ended up like a kidnap thing. HAHA:P oh ya. and at night alw got green moths :X omg GROSS PLS. so many. den ppl keep stepping on them cos they refuse to fly n jus flap their wings when touched or kicked =.= den got white stuffs oozing out when it's squished D: blehhh. gross. haha xDDAY4 - 5nov
woke up in e morning n had to eat breakfast n change into gear n do duties n get ready by 8.30am :X haha. our grp alws on time n the earliest :D :D whee xD anw breakfast was spaghetti :D sounds nice.. but the spags there was like PORRIDGE la :X not joking.the thing super soggy. aft the super soft noodles enter ur mouth its like.. melting in ur mouth. e sauce v watery oso. haha :X and milo there was super diluted :X cos cannot put too much powder or else not enuff for everyone :P
8.30am! we set of to the gear there agn. tt place's called the resource centre. and we walked there like THIS:
HAHA :X mygosh. tied tgt like siao. its like the rope goes in one sleeve, den go down inside ur outer jacket, into ur outer pants, and out of the bottom of ur pants (the feet there) den goes into the next person's sleeve agn :X we looked so dumb pls. hahhaaha. xDanw tt day we went caving!!:D it was not like what everyone thought.O.o we thought caving was the round hole thing tt we could just walk inside and walk out if it :X NO! its not like tt. the entrance oso abit small la. xD LOL. small ppl like me can jus slide in.xD hahaha :P bt not so small ppl mus squeeze in :P (not anyone from our grp.xD) inside oso all super squeezy de. cant stand up at all. haha. onli some parts where there's water. and the water was FREEZING :X some parts of the cave we had to go thru until super unglam la xD HAHA :X but who cares. just get thru!:P lol. somewhere near the entrance we saw glow worms!! (: v nice :D haha.its like green dots of light everywhere on top when everyone offed our headlights :D cool :P kk just see the pics ba :P
after caving..
WHEE :D caving rocks (: other than all the cuts n bruises from the rocks inside haha :Xaft tt we went near the swamp there.. and did the spiderweb thing. v cool! haha. xD its like u're supposed to get thru the spiderweb thru the holes, but not touching the web or u'll get "eaten". haha :P and once 1 hole is used, it cannot be used agn :X so we had to like carry ppl up to go thru the higher holes xD LOL. v funny hahah. too bad no one took photos of tt:P
haha xD den aft tt we went back to OPC to shower n hv dinner :D oh and we played volleyball haha :X super cold! but nvm.xD e ball hit our arm super pain oso :X mayb cos its cold n hard.haha.oh ya i wore band tee for like 5days!xD HAHA :X even though i shower le :P anw we played bridge at night!!:P wahaha:P our chalet v cool. got some attic for us to gather. haha xD

went to the mountains!!:D WHEE. we climbed mt reupehu :D have lotsa pics of the mountain xD the lower part of the mountain don hv snow. so the snow was like our goal hahaha.xD SNOW!!(: but anw. the lower part of the mountain was super rocky n steep!:X argh like anytime gona fall like tt :X but we didnt.O.O hahah MIRACLE :P according to addi's watch we were abt 2km abv sea lvl when we stopped for lunch O.O haha. sandwiches!:D our lunch was sandwiches everyday lol. n we got some cleaner snow n poured the raro powder in it to make ice raro!! xD HAHA damn nice :P latr got pic xD anw aft lunch we did snow sliding!!:D :D at 1st quite scary cos from the top cant see the slope at all!!:X so its like u dono whr u going lol.quite steep. and we climbed up the snow wif e ice axe.X.x super xin1 ku3 :X VERY hard to walk on snow la :X haha.xD but fun anyways :D oh and we made a super small snowman.xD the eyes were stones :P nothing else there lol. and we did snowball fights too! :D HAHA:P snow went into our clothes omg DAMN COLDDDD!=.= lol.but aft a while melt den quite ok la :P okay PICS!:D

haha descending mt reupehu was super fun at the top part where there's snow cos we just keep sliding LOL.xD but the rocky parts v scary D: we made it anyway.xD haha. v tired but super accomplished :Dback at OPC!:D we found out tt georgie was gona marry rob in a week and a half!:D haha so we made a happy marriage card for them. xD liying's wonderful drawings! :P lol.

the start of double overnight expedition!! :D :D haha.xD had to plan wht we were gona do for the 3days :P den b4 we went off we stole milo powder from YDC! hahahaha :X cos e milo really damn diluted :X
we went tubing!! :D the one tt we get a rubber tyre each n go down e river sitting on it.. together with the river flow.xD FUN!:P except all the stupid rocks tt blocked our way n hit our butts. =.= haha. but the latr part bcame deeper so quite ok la :D n we kept capsizing =.= THE WATER SUPER COLD. D: we were shivering like mad n teeth chattering like mad. whole body numb le :X trixie shiver until damn funny! hahaha.xD too bad got no pics of tubing cos its a water activity :X didnt do gorging aft tt cos we were too cold le :X ANW. b4 tubing we needed to wear this lousy wetsuit. SUPER TIGHT ARHH! siao one. lol. supposed to be like tt. so tt no water can enter n ur clothes will b dry inside.hahha. we took so long just to wear tt thing =.=
haha stupid suit =.= anw when we came back from tubing we had to wash all the stuffs with some anti bacterial soap thing O.o cos.... I FORGOT WHYY. okay nvm :Paft tt we packed our damn heavy bags for double overnight expedition :D everyone's bag like ard 15kg la D: zzz. the slping bag's fault :P lol.so huge n we need some white cloth n the spongy floor mat oso.=.= haha. aft packing we went off trekking to our campsite :D OUR CAMPSITE ROCKS LA :D :D :D so amazing. other than the thorns =.= lol.
we set up campfire aft setting up our tents (: campfire!! it doesnt last as long as those seen in movies =.= hahah. must keep feeding it firewood. D: if nt it'll die off. quite sad. haha :P hm den georgie cooked dinner for us :D yay georgie rocks!:D it was some beef thing. aiya latr got pic :P dessert was chocclate cake :D lol. oh den we started playing with the water vapour coming out of our mouths.xD LOL. so dumb pls. we TRIED to take a photo with the water vapour but cannot see. hahahahha. but we looked retarded anw :P
at night!! :D THE STARRY STARRY SKY. omg la. super amazing O.O but too bad cant take photo :P the cam lens cannot reach there. ANW IT WAS DAMNNNN NICE. O.O can see the constellations but we dono how it looks like so.. yea.didnt spot. hahhaha :P we slpt super late tt night, lying outside our tents on the grass looking at the stars. there were SHOOTING STARS!!! :O so facinating. ahhh. i miss the starry sky!!!X.x tt's the best part of the whole NZ thing. haha :D when we were lying down on e grass lookin at e stars, we started singing random songs :X and i mean seriously RANDOM.xD hahahha. started with twinkle twinkle little star, den dono why we started singing national anthem and school song, commanded by liying. xD LOL. followed by all the national day songs =.= SO PATRIOTIC LA.xD OHH. we sang the 90th anniversary song oso =.= hahah. SEE!! SCHOOL SPIRIT OKAY :P anw we sang so damn loud tt we woke georgie up :X heh. den sandytan told us tt she oso heard us =.= lol.
aft tt went back to our tents, cannot slp =.= hahha. so we started playing with torches :P LOL. super lame. cos got 3 torches so we did the sun earth and moon thing :P HAHA sunearthmoon :P ok out of point. yea we really did tt solar system thing.xD aft tt we do smiley face. 2 eyes n e mouth moving left to right n back :P SO LAMEE. ok nvm.

woke up in the morning. didnt feel like getting out of e sleeping bag! :X V COLD.argh. lol. den georgie came and ripped off our tent :X ARGH. hahaha. den we were left sitting on the groundsheet in our slping bags =.= scenery rocks again :D we had to get up anyway =.= so we packed our stuffs n kept e tent n stuffed our slping bags. and breakfast was maggie mee!! :D :D haha :P georgie cooked for us agn (: aft tt we left our campsite n headed back to OPC to get more food n throw away our rubbish. n to get all the equips needed for the day. SUPER HEAVY ARRH. X.x the ropes =.=
we did rock climbing!! :D :D REAL ROCKS :D so cool :P we were the only grp who did this (: haha. but before climbing we had to walk like SUPER long wif e super heavy bags.X.x v far! walked across all the rocky parts n white moss n lava rocks. white moss was like carpeted floor la.xD quite cool :D lava rocks were horrible. D: v sharp X.x n unstable =.= ok we finally reached the place where we rock climb. WAHH. the cliff so scary. so sad no one took pictures of the rock climbing ): cos everyone too cold alr. shivering like siao :X n it was drizzling =.= making the rocks slippery :P rock climbing was fun anyway :D i like the coming down part.xD its like walking down the cliff :D cool :P going up was HARD. omg la. NOTHING TO HOLD! nothing to step =.= the smallest ledge oso must make use of it. its like u're gona slip anytime D: other than climbing someone has to belay too. belaying was ok la.xD their method different from OBS!:P got 1 more step i think. haha.
aft rock climbing we walked all e way back. D: ARGH DAMN FARR. and it was like raining X.x mist everywhere. dono where we going. haha. roughly la X.x den we reached some random hut. ate energy bars n drank hot milo to warm up.xD V COLD :X aft tt continued walking:P but the last part we walked on some track. so quite okay :D were singing random songs on the way again.xD the sky was cool!:P we finally got back to the van. super tired :X georgie drove us to our campsite(: eh. in some forest like place :P too tired to take photos at tt time X.x zz haha. so we pitched our tents. attempted to join both together n we succeeded!:D hahah:D dinner was pasta!:D with salami.xD den we put like ALOT of pepper n was dying there D: pepper concentrate.X.x LOL. didnt put cheese cos it was the pure cheese strips :X too cheesy le. anw back in the tent we were playing bridge!xD lol.again:P we alws slp after georgie.xD light was from our torches, hung onto a string tt we attached from one pole to the other in e tent :D
